Dilcontin XL 120mg Tablet is safe to use during lactation. Human studies have shown that either the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in significant amount or is not expected to cause toxicity to the baby.
Dilcontin XL 120mg Tablet may make you feel dizzy, sleepy, tired, or decrease alertness. If this happens, do not drive.
SAFE
Dilcontin XL 120mg Tablet is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Dilcontin XL 120mg Tablet is recommended.However, talk to your doctor if you have any underlying kidney disease. Regular monitoring of kidney function test is advised while you are taking this medicine.
CAUTION

Dilcontin XL 120mg Tablet is used in the treatment of hypertension, chest pain (Angina) and arrhythmias.
How to use Dilcontin Tablet CR
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Dilcontin XL 120mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
How Dilcontin Tablet CR works
Dilcontin XL 120mg Tablet is a calcium channel blocker. It blocks the action of calcium on the heart and blood vessels. This effect reduces blood pressure and abnormally fast heartbeat which lowers strain and oxygen requirement of the heart.
Common Headache, Nausea, Fatigue, Dizziness, Feeling of discomfort, Dyspepsia, Stomach pain, Peripheral edema, Constipation, Redness of skin, Flushing (sense of warmth in the face, ears, neck and trunk).

It is very common to have dizziness, lightheadedness, swelling ankles/feet, flushing, or a headache as a side effect. To lower your risk of dizziness and lightheadedness, get up slowly when rising from a sitting or lying position. Inform your doctor if you have developed constipation during treatment with Dilcontin. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or planning to conceive or breastfeeding. Inform your doctor if you have ever been diagnosed with any heart problems (heart attack, heart failure, slow or irregular heart rate).
